Regina Spektor begins her newest track, “All The Rowboats”, with a massive electronic, almost industrial build and quickly drops into a sneaky, tip-toeing piano lead, overlapped by soft vocals and a pulsating beat. As the verse progresses, drums intensify and through the use of dreary keys and haunting melodies that move in a waltz-like formation, we start to wonder, “Is there anything Regina Spektor can’t do?” Well, presenting a piece of her new album with a song that doesn’t even have a distinguishable chorus, you bet we’re voting “no”.
