Our friends from Nigel & The Dropout have come out with their 2nd record this year, Slice Of. The production automatically sounds 100x better, as evident on the wonderfully titled opener,”Grinding Grin”, and the shuffling “One More Chance.”. I was thrilled to find out the band mastered, produced, and mixed the album all by themselves, because the sound is as crisp and massive as it can be. I am so happy with the direction this band is going, and as they get more mature, the possibilities are truly endless. These Detroit boys positively know how to fashion an affecting tune.
